In 2016 a 23 year old Baltimore native Korryn Gaines was killed by tactical police officers after a 6 hour stand-off. Her story is one of too many but we hope to craft a project that will honor her legacy. In her life she dedicated herself to the revolutionary movement of advocacy for black people. We are proposing to begin a scholarship fund in her name to assist the next radical change maker and support their vision for a better black future.

We anticipate awards to be at a minimum of $1,000.

– Black/African Descent
-College/University in Baltimore (community schools + trade schools included)
