Young, Gifted & Green: Earth Day Twitter Round Table

Black Millennials 4 Flint would like to invite you to participate in a “Young, Gifted & Green: Earth Day Twitter Round Table” slated for April 22, 2020 7:00 PM-8:00 PM EST.

The purpose of the Young, Gifted & Green: Earth Day Twitter Round Table is to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Earth Day and elevate environmental issues that are most pertinent to African American & Latinx American Gen Zs and Millennials.

Partnership Requirements: Each respective organization/individual will–

1) Share promotional/marketing within their respective networks to engage a large following/reach (using the following hashtags: #BM4F #EarthDay50 #LeadFreeUSA #YoungGiftedGreen).

2) Provide a response to each of the 5 questions (as well as respond to retweets and additional commentary from BM4F and other round table participants (BM4F will be providing educational content accompanying each question theme to foster a virtual community grounded in educational awareness):

Climate Justice: How can we better educate and engage local, state and federal elected officials surrounding the issue of climate change as a major threat to our social determinants of health specifically in black and brown communities?
Lead Prevention: How can grassroots, legacy civil rights and environmental justice organizations collectively organize to demand policy makers to prioritize national lead service pipeline replacement?
Green Jobs: How can we attract, train and retain more young African American and Latinx Americans in green jobs?
Clean Energy: What strategies can be implemented to create a more equitable playing field for African American and Latinx small businesses to acquire access to the clean energy industry?
Environmental Justice for All Act: Why is the Environmental Justice for All act so vital for African American and Latinx communities?

3) Contribute one quote post-Twitter Round Table describing the importance of social media forums as such (the quote will be utilized for our online blog Young, Gifted & Green: Catch the Green Tea)

4) Support with posting our Earth Day Promotional/Marketing
