Womb Wednesday

February 23, 2022 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Womb Wednesday is a monthly digital content series curated by Black Millennials 4 Flint (BM4F) that focuses on the intersection of Maternal Health and Environmental Justice through a Black, Latinx and Indigenous lens. Womb Wednesday is a signature program from BM4F’s Black+Brown Alliance which amplifies the need for a strong, united front between Black and Brown folks to actively dismantle white supremacy through improving the quality of Black and Brown births.
Womb Wednesdays air every 4th Wednesday at 7PM ET/6PM CT on Facebook Live and YouTube live.
This month’s episode is “Put Some Respect On Our Names: Celebrating Black & Afro-Latina Reproductive Justice History”. The reproductive movement was birthed from BLACK women in Chicago, IL, akin to the environmental justice movement, was co-opted by whiteness. This session focuses on the history of Black Excellence in RJ and EJ.
