Towards Environmental Justice Debut: Atlanta Pre-Screening

October 2021 marked 30 years since the establishment of the 17 Principles of Environmental Justice which called for the decolonization of the environmental justice movement with centering the voices of Black, Latinx and Indigenous people who are the most disproportionately impacted by environmental racism.

Black Millennials 4 Flint has partnered with the National Urban League Young Professionals,  and the Urban League of Greater Atlanta Young Professionals to launch a private pre-screening of “Towards Environmental Justice”, a short documentary honoring our ancestors, elders, and modern environmental justice leaders. The documentary features world renowned environmental justice leaders such as Mustafa Ali Santiago, Jade Begay and more!

The post-debut fireside chat will feature: 

  • LaTricea D. Adams, MAT, EdS, founder CEO and President of Black Millennials 4 Flint and the youngest African American Woman appointed to the inaugural White House Environmental Justice Advisory Council.
  • Shalondan Hollingshed, President of the National Urban League Young Professionals (NULYP), Immediate Past NULYP Southern Region VP and Former President of the Urban League of Greater Atlanta Young Professionals.
  • Kawanza Billy, NULYP Advocacy Chair, Former Advocacy Chair of Thursday Network Greater Washington Urban League Young Professionals

The private pre-screening will take place on February 27, 2022 2:30 PM-4:00PM ET at the historic Apex Museum, 135 Auburn Ave NE, Atlanta, GA 30303.

Capacity for in-person event is 50. Masks must be worn at all times.
