Join us for “TN Griot’s Guide to Civic Engagement”, a virtual workshop designed to help you take an active role in shaping your community. This event is hosted by Young, Gifted & Green’s Tribe 7 Tennessee Environmental Justice (EJ) Griots. Civic engagement starts with knowing how local decisions get made and how your voice can influence them. In this interactive session, you will learn how to:
- Research candidates before you vote
- Build a relationship with your local representatives
- Understand local policy proposals and how they affect you
- Explore the different ways to get involved, from public comment to community organizing
Whether you are new to civic life or looking to sharpen your advocacy skills, this workshop will give you practical tools to show up, speak up, and make a difference.
