Let Memphis Breathe: A Data Center Resistance Teach-in

June 18 @ 6:00 am - 8:00 pm

Join Young Gifted & Green, Color Of Change, and 350.org for Let Memphis Breathe: A Community Data Center Resistance Teach-in, Thursday, June 18, 2026, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM (Location disclosed after RSVP).

As AI data center development rapidly expands across the country, Memphians are left to deal with the environmental, economic, and democratic impacts these projects can have on Black neighborhoods. From pollution, energy use, and environmental strain, data centers can present real costs to our health and wealth.

Join us as we get real about the environmental and economic harm AI/Data centers have on Black communities and strategize with us on how to fight back.

The active attacks on voter rights make it clear: the goal is to silence and divide Black voters and Black voices, at the very moment Black Memphians are demanding greater accountability and a stronger voice in decisions directly affecting their health, resources, and future.

Join our partners and us on the ground for a teach-in designed to inform and organize around data center resistance, environmental justice, and civil rights challenges facing our communities.

Pull up – bring a friend and get involved! Food, refreshments will be provided. RSVP today to secure your spot in the room!

By registering for this event, you agree to receive ongoing communications from Color Of Change and hosting partner organizations 350.org and Young, Gifted and Green.
