Black Millennials for Flint 1 Year Anniversary

February 10, 2017 @ 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm

On February 10, 2016, a group of young professionals from Thursday Network–Greater Washington Urban League Young Professionals made a national call to brainstorm advocacy strategies in the aftermath of the Flint Water Crisis.

It is bittersweet that 1 year later, our brothers and sisters in Flint, Michigan still have no clean water, but we are encouraged that this same group of environmental justice advocates never and will never give up the fight against lead crises not just in Flint, Michigan, but in the “Flints” all across the nation.

We invite you to reflect and engage with us on Friday, February 10th 5:00 PM-8:00 PM at Ben’s Upstairs (Ten01) for food, libations, and planning for resistance.

There will be limited happy hour specials. Food and beverages will be at the expense of individual guests.

Seating is limited, so we welcome serious RSVP’s.

On April 21-23, 2017 Black Millennials for Flint will be making our 2nd annual service trip to Flint. We hope that you would consider donating to our Flint Water Drive Campaign as we have a goal of delivering 10,000 gallons of water. We are partnering with First Trinity Missionary Baptist Church in Flint, Michigan where will distibute water to families in the community.
