Black Maternal & Environmental Health Day Kick-Off Panel

April 4 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Black Maternal & Environmental Health (BMEH) Day was created by Young, Gifted & Green to raise awareness about the importance of clean air and water, healthy housing, safe consumer products, and overall environments related to Black maternal health. BMEH Day is observed on the first Thursday in April as a means to uplift Black women and child birthing people’s voice regarding the maternal and environmental health movement along with strengthening if not producing advocates. BMEH Day is a national effort supported by individuals, non-profit organizations, and government agencies encouraging individuals and organizations to raise awareness and understanding of Black maternal and environmental health issues, seek improved safeguarding for Black expecting mothers and child birthing people, and commit to acts of culturally-relevant environmental health and wellness. Join Young, Gifted & Green for a historic day highlighting the intersection of Black Maternal Health and Environmental Justice featuring some of the nation’s most prolific experts.
