50 Years ago today, our waters were in peril and the U.S. Congress passed the Clean Water Act of 1972–a time before both Millennials and Gen Z were born, but we still bear the brunt of legacy pollution in our nation’s waterways.  While there have been some strides in protecting our waters, we are a long way from justice.  One of the biggest threats to the Clean Water Act (among many others) is the Sackett vs EPA Supreme Court Case.

Here are the big three things to know about Sackett vs EPA

  • The case is an industry push to gut the #CleanWaterAct
  • Polluters are asking the Supreme Court to make it easier for them to bulldoze wetlands and dump waste into our streams
  • This will harm the waters our families and communities rely on

The Supreme Court has a life changing choice to make that will impact generations to come:  defend our fundamental right to clean water, or cave to special interests and gut the #CleanWaterAct.
